The Fireworks Schedule

Fireworks launch nightly at 10:00 PM from May 15 to October 12, weather permitting. The shows depend on the weather and can be cancelled, so a clear forecast is part of the plan. Watching them costs nothing: the state park is free to enter and the show is visible from the U.S. side. The series runs every night of that window, including holidays, but a storm or high wind can call off any single show.

The Illumination That Frames Them

Prospect Point

The park names Prospect Point as the place to watch the fireworks from. It sits beside the top of the American Falls, close to the Observation Tower where the Maid of the Mist elevator goes down. From there you face the American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, and you see the Horseshoe Falls further along the river at an angle. The full front view of the Horseshoe Falls belongs to the Canadian side, but the fireworks over the gorge read well from Prospect Point.

Prospect Point has its own parking lot, Lot 1, at $10 on weekdays and $15 Friday to Sunday in the summer lots. Lot 2 on Goat Island charges the same, and Lot 3 at Three Sisters Islands is $10 and free Tuesday to Thursday. Entry to Niagara Falls State Park itself is free.
